Is there a place in preservation for one of the modern single deck designs which Rider operated in the 1990s?Other than various single decks used on certain routes (i.e. 8/9 Ring Road) it wasn't until the early 1990s that single deckers became prelevant in Leeds. Various designs operated with Yorkshire Rider, and these designs are now approaching the end of their lives. With FirstGroup's disposal policy (in general, this operator does not sell vehicles on to smaller operators, meaning that when First have finished with vehicles, they are sent on a one-way trip to the Barnsley scrapyards) the time to consider the long term future of some of the below is now. DAF SB220 with Optare Delta body (1251-1255, G251JYG-G255JYG plus 1256 J994GCP) DAF SB220 with Ikarus Citibus body (1201-1208, J421NCP-J426NCP, K527RJX & K528RJX and Quickstep 16-18 L516EHD-L518EHD) Volvo B10M with Plaxton Bustler body (1451-1460, G451JYG-G460JYG) Scania N113 with Alexander Strider body (8601-8634) Scania N113 with Alexander Strider body in Superbus form (8636-8655 L636PWR-L655PWR) Volvo B10B with Alexander Strider body (1001-1030, K101HUM-K120HUM and L121-130PWR) Volvo B6 with Alexander Dash body (3001-3006, L101PWR-L106PWR) Dennis Dart with Alexander Dash body (3219-3268, M219VWW-M268VWW) Dennis Lance with Plaxton Pointer body (3201-3218, 3269-3298 M201VWW-M218VWW,) Dennis Lance with Plaxton Verde body (4001-4078 M401VWW-M448VWW, N449JUG-N478JUG) Which of the above do you think should be saved, and would you like to contribute towards this?
